Working with the 5 Elements in Kinesiology gives us access to the seasons in a deeper and more soul nourishing sense, as we tune into the natural cycles of the world, the ecosystem and our own internal system.
Traditionally, the season of Spring is represented by the wood element, and the Gallbladder and Liver meridians are associated with this element. Metaphysically, the wood element works with the emotional spectrum of anger, from rage to frustration to irritation.
Gallbladder 41
This accupoint is useful if you have trouble falling asleep between the times of 11pm to 1am, as it is governed by the Gallbladder energy in the Chinese meridian clock.
It is also beneficial if we find ourselves in any sort of polarised responses to obstacles or issues, where we can find ourselves pushing relentlessly against said obstacle, which can lead to frustration, or a collapse into inaction and defeat, and giving up.
Liver 3 This point is useful to support liver cleansing and detoxing, for those times when we may have overdone it with fatty food, consumed too much alcohol or taken lots of medication, and/or are looking to do a liver cleanse. Other factors that help support the liver on a dietary level are:
eating more fresh green, dark vegetables
consuming sour foods like lemons, limes, or sauerkraut
reducing caffeine and alcohol intake
Metaphysically, Liver 3 is used to clear anger that gets 'stuck' or lodged in the liver. It is effective in soothing agitation, irritation, frustration and anger, and is recommended to calm the mind, and increase clarity and courage. This releases energy to enable us to take more active engagement with our world, moving forward into new, expansive growth.
Either,or both of these points are recommended during this forward moving, and ideally expansive, cycle of spring.
